Broomhill Garden Studio

The Architect's Brief from the Customer:

"In 2021, we had been in discussion with architect BW Macintyre about an outside Garden room, which
was to be used as an outdoor area to accommodate both additional living space for the family and also to
provide additional office/ study space. There is a large Willow tree in the Garden which was to be
incorporated into the design"

Customer Feedback:

"We have had the opportunity to use the Garden Room over the last year and the space works even better than we hoped. It is such a peaceful, tranquil room to be in with the the bespoke desk, shelves and cupboards in birch ply really making it a fantastic place to be in either for work or relaxing."

How it Fits in the Garden:

"With the Willow tree in full foliage, and with the larch decking, the Garden Room blends into the garden making it a joy to look at both inside and out. We could not be happier with the result."

Why were Deeside Timber Crafts the right choice?

"We appointed Deeside Timber Crafts as the main contractor for the work and we were extremely pleased that we did.

Both Stuart and Louise were very engaged with the design process making excellent suggestions to help refine and optimise the design. They were very collaborative in their approach with both ourselves and the Architect which was vital to this project."

The construction and finishing details:

"During the build phase Stuart, Louise and Bob were extremely focused and diligent in their approach to the work and although we had a mixed bag of underfoot conditions they were able to keep on track despite some testing conditions! They were accommodating and practical in their approach and I think it is worth emphasising that the craftsmanship, and attention to detail really was exceptional. Stuart was as committed as we were to deliver the brief to the highest possible calibre and to that end they certainly delivered!"

The Design & Build Process:

The architects drawings were provided and a period of time to quote and estimate the project started.  Materials and labour were itemised for all aspects of the project in order to provide the customer with a detailed price estimate that could be tracked.

We made 3D models of the garden room and its features such as the cabinetry, the rustic barn doors and the deck.  These models were used to create a build sequence and have construction details to reference on site.
